Problematic switches on Elektron Rytm MK1

Hi all.

I recently foumk&nd out that my Bank Group and Trig Mute are not working on my Analog rytm MK1, Resulting in tha fact i can only use bank B, C and D.

I tried the following steps:

  1. Factory reset => no result.
  2. Test mode => No lights lighting up after pressing Trig Mute/Bank Group.
    Analog Rytm states “ERROR : 0”
  3. Soldured an NO-switch in parallel of the Trig Mute button => Nothing.
  4. contact spray + compressed air cleaning = no results.
  5. Measured continuity of buttons with multimeter. After pressing the button the mutlimeter beeps => button makes contact.
  6. Made a ticket on Elektron website. I was hoping to get a fasters respons trough this channel. Thanks in advance.

You need someone with test equipment. It’s not a standard issue and it’s not something that can be diagnosed by guessing.

I would say it’s best to be patient. Wait for elektron support.

If you have to continue, follow the traces for both buttons and see if they lead back to a common component then inspect the solder there for any cracks. Maybe it needs to be reflowed, idk.
