Pretentious use of punctuation/case in product names

I’ve heard your vocalist, story checks out

You leave Prince out of this.

Well even Prince realized how pretentious it was and changed back. Or, maybe he just got tired of drawing that when signing checks.

Now that I look at this properly it looks like a stylised ballet dancer in a tutu, standing en point, saying “talk to the hand”, whilst winding up an uppercut.

I don’t know much about Prince, but I feel like that sums up his vibe?

It sums it up better than TAFKAP, that’s for sure.

This is 100% what happened.

The same species, yes, but addicted to blow.

Wait until they discover the ubiquitous availability of emoji, we’ll be looking at product names like these soon:

:fu::pig_nose::athletic_shoe: (fuck-you pignose-sneakers)

:point_right::pouting_cat::battery: (this mad cat battery)

BTW, Prince had to encode his “Love Symbol#2” in a custom font and ship these over to news outlets.

Towards the end of 1999, PlayStation released the game NBA 2K, which was followed by NBA 2K1.

Then you had NBA 2K2 and NBA 2K3.

Then followed by NBA 2K4? Nope, that one was called ESPN NBA Basketball.

And then the next year brought us NBA 2K5, skipping right past the unlucky number 4.

Now we’re all the way up to NBA 2K27.

Which I always think of as the sixth sequel to NBA 2K2.

At work the toilet paper has the brand name “Society Hill”…i’ve spent way too much time on the toilet trying to figure out WTF it means, and wondering who got paid to come up with the name :rofl:

I don’t mind bigLARGE but alllowercase just looks like a MisTAkE

I enjoy Elektron’s names. “Syntakt”, “Rytm”, “Tonverk” all sound interesting. NI did similar, slightly off-kilter, justified misspellings - Kontakt, Battery, Maschine. I like just model numbers too, as in a lot of Roland gear
