I’m not personally offended by art that isn’t safe for work, but I do scroll Elektronauts a lot when we have downtime at work and appreciate that this forum is pretty much always safe for that kind of scrolling.
This one really appeals to me, in the detail and concept, as well as the execution and shape of the overall composition. I really enjoy your work in traditional mediums. The widescreen aspect ratio gives a “Guernica” type of expanded layout to the framing, and simply using the light blue to fill up negative space creates some nice balance within. Glad you rescued this from the box!
Thank you, very nice to hear.
Long live 0.05mm.
I push too hard, .05 live a very short life in my hand
Ah that… we risk resuming the discussion on graphic palettes
.
I would break it in a day
I’m with you on that haha – just waaayyy too finicky. If I want a very fine linewidth, I just enlarge the whole subject, the lines get finer in context.
I think the ones I destroy are perhaps .005 and not .05, I must have left out a zero lol
I like them though, the sakura pigma micron, but I do destroy the tips.
Anyone who breaks 0.5 is an athlete!
My sister-in-law gave me this that I didn’t know:
Not more solid, even less than my usual ones BUT offer a graphite pencil color, quite impressive.
Very good on its own and certainly great combined with black.
I’d like to blame that I didn’t grow up with the metric system for the faux pas but I understand the decimal placement system so it was just ignorance and me not having my head fully engaged in what my fingers were typing. They look like cool pens, I’ve never tried those. I like the faber castle prisma fine liners but not as much as micron. Have you seen anything about Kuretake brush pens? I want to try them maybe. They make a refillable sable tip brush pen.
Not necessarily Kuretake but my father, a painter, regularly used and gave me black brushes/pens with a silver ideogram (which I am quite incapable of interpreting, if it happens it is written, "the one who reads this is an idiot ") no idea of the brand.
It was quite brilliant, super intense black, filling in express areas but my pig’s dexterity prevents me from managing my lines.
I always wanted to draw with Indian ink and steel nib but impossible for the same reason, I love the friction/squeak of separating the nibs!
I don’t know, I need it to be as thin as possible, if only there were 0.03.
@dhunterrr Indian ink and pen ?
I have used micron pens for these drawings.
Pretty sure it’s this pack
I’m brand new to them, I’ve never used fineliners for drawing. I always preferred pen or biro/ballpoint. But I see lots of people on Instagram using them so I thought I’d treat myself.
Plus I think they work well with watercolours; they don’t run if you put water on—haven’t tried yet though!
I’m seeing where you’re coming from. Currently trying to convince myself to spend money on art supplies and the cart total keeps adding up faster than I’m willing to put in my credit card number. In fact, I keep comparing the amount against other things I want to purchase. This used to be a crippling hobby for me, trying to draw when I didn’t have enough money to keep up with it. Now it’s like a knee jerk reaction to stop myself from purchasing
It’s Procreate and only Procreate lol
Why is it so good. Technically, they got everything about it right on top of that it is a one payment, no sub deal.
Sounds reasonable!
This was a commission to someone who wanted a genital themed tattoo on herself, keywords being “p***y power”:
I remember being inspired by a Grinderman song (Worm Tamer) for this other one:
Wouldn’t be surprised to find out that Nick Cave was playing in the background for the majority of my diary entries.
Thanks for the answers @J3RK @HisMostDarxxxellent I showed the pictures to my daughter and she wanted to know what app was used.
No way! You did that?!
yes?
