On my M8 tracker it switches off when I stop playback while it is still powered on.
Edit: I just checked: After the reverb trail wasn’t audible anymore it took around 10 seconds to stop using the Aux input and then around 2-3 seconds after pressing play to play back the Aux signal again.
Yes, the same on the JBL when it’s on battery, it seems to like to pause very quickly, and therefore a short wait for the sound to resume, the time to choose the next YouTube video is enough to trigger the pause for example… I haven’t tested it on mains power yet but I imagine that’s not the case. I’ll post the answer when I’ve tested it.
I’ve had a JBL eon one compact for a while.
It has better bottom end than any other similarly sized or smaller system I have tried, that said you need to use the phone app. to EQ and set levels. Otherwise the levels can be a bit low and it can get muddy depending on the content played.
It also likes to turn it self off after so many hours of playing, which is annoying, maybe it can be fixed with an app. setting, I’m not sure.
TLDR; Compact portable with some oompf; JBL is the best option for bass centric electronic music, BOSS S1 is a better option for mids/HF pop music.
My old JBL Flip 3 had the same issue. I tried the Earfun UBoom L and found latency to be problematic.
I eventually landed on the Soundcore Motion+. No “waking up” after inactivity and low latency to my ears as well. JBL Go 2 also worked in that regard, it’s very small and no longer being produced though.
Can it also play at lower volumes ? I have a mobile PA, but it really needs a minimum level, before its audible, which is a bit too high for indoor listening comfortably.
I have a c10 and a c3 and they are nice speakers. I sometimes play from spotify on them since they have wifi, you can wake the speaker with spotify. They can play together too if you use their app.
I dont use them all that much but the c3 can go with me outside or on small trips and delivers!
