Polyend Tracker

You’re on a beta firmware. It should be expected that there are going to be bugs. The best thing to do is to raise an issue in the github page, or otherwise relay your issue back to Polyend, so they can fix it in time for the official release of the firmware rev.

I have. im also trying to recreate…so far with no luck.

have people experienced projects corrupting? NO idea how to replicate what was happening. im gonna reload that project and see if its still happening. or if shutting down rectified it. if its still busted, all I can do right now, is make a vid.

@cold_fashioned ya ya of course. but if its a bug I wanna nail it down. I don’t care about shit happening in beta’s. I DO care about catching bugs and being able ro reproduce and report.

Aren’t you on the beta? Have you tried reinstalling the 1.2.2 firmware? Or can you not go back like that?

Got mine but only had quick blast on it. Getting work all tied up for end of this week then off for 2 weeks and hope to get a day or two on it

No I’ve not.
Had a few minor glitches, and a couple of freezes rectified by disconnecting power, but nothing major enough to disrupt tbh

Go straight for newest beta if i were you.
At least then you’re helping drive the product forward.

I also have not experienced project corruption. Was the project you had master issues on carried over from an old firmware or built from scratch on current? I’ve also been prodding in attempt to recreate what you reported, no ‘luck’ yet.

No it was a new project in latest Firm

What I had was 6 tracks.
I made one pattern and copy pasted pattern 1 to 2 and 3, then modded track 6 in pattern 2 and 3. While PT was playing I moved over to Master and noted that one pattern was repeating over two patterns. Lane 6 would change when I entered Master. I’d have to go and redo the changes I made in Pattern mode. Went back to Master to fiddle with FX and it would happen again.

Trying to reproduce today in new project. No luck. I will try opening the messed up one and see if it happens still

anyone expecting Ableton Live export in the near future?

edited because I got the same steps to produce another error.

HARD CRASH. I cant even power down.

try to reproduce: chose Instrument, add some notes to the pattern, while still in REC mode, access Master page and start playing with Reverb values. my PT hung, I cant turn it off. ill have to unplug to turn it off.

Same project as before? I’m trying this right now with no errors. You’re on 1.3.0b3?

Si señor. 1.3.0b3

Old project seemed fine. New project making changes in master while in rec mode.

I didn’t try on old project in rec mode. But I’ll try that too.

But the hard lock was kind bad. I wanna figure out what EXACTLY that is. BUT on a good note, no loss when power cycling by unplugging power :+1:t6:

Still can’t reproduce this one on my side, though I admit to getting fully sidetracked several times cuz the tracker is just fun like that. I’ll poke more tomorrow. I’ve had to pull power on older firmwares, the first time is always the most nerve racking. After 20+ power pulls and no resulting issues, I don’t flinch as much anymore. If the problem isn’t unique to one program I would think an open ticket will get reproduced and solved in house with polyend in the long run.

Ya it’s super fun. I kinda have been ignoring the other stuff and just mess with PT OT and Euro. Live pops in here and there.

@shinobi

Keep in mind when you buy a midi cable, the Polyend Tracker uses a Midi TRS B cable. Arturia and Novation are using this B standard too.

You can buy it here on Ebay :
