Polyend Tracker

I thought before the release they were going to redo the reverb and delay.

Why is everyone getting hung up on reverb. There are plenty of ways to add verb after the fact

It is what it is.

Yeah and they added a cool new stereo delay so that’s awesome! I’m sure a reverb is coming.

I guess for some it is a MAJOR turn off without proper reverb or delay…

Honestly with a DT and DN handy I can apply reverb and delay to incoming audio easily but PT being thought as a standalone workstation I get it why people badly need it in a theoretical all-in-one box…

Yeah it is for me. I look at at the Tracker in a similar way to Elektron boxes and so prefer the reverb/delay in it already.

Edit: But I’m buying it anyway because it looks so dope

Me too, where does this no reverb thing come from?

I do think it’s an odd thing to leave out on a workstation type box, but I usually take the reverb off my tracks while transferring to the computer anyway. Makes editing easier and I have great reverbs in the box. All that to say, it won’t affect me either way, but I think it’s a strange omission for many

They have added a proper delay, it’s demonstrated in the RMR video. I think a reverb will definitely be coming so let’s not get too hung on that. Looks extremely cool, more impressed than I thought it would be. I don’t think it’s cooler than the Digitakt though, with one large caveat; the performance effects section!!! The Polyend video demoing that blew my mind, it’s really powerful!!!

From RMR: the reverb was messy, now is in the process of being re-written.

would be if you could resample it or automate it.

It’s really good. One thing I haven’t seen mentioned much so far is how well it’s laid out, hardware-wise. And I just love the jog wheel. The software, as we all know, isn’t as powerful as Renoise, but through the hardware Polyend accomplished to catch the spirit of trackers. It’s fascinating to me how they did it.

Nice one! where did you buy it from? Everywhere i see preorders only. Cheers

Are you in EU? Mine was shipped may 29th and still waiting.

if you like the features, but are not into the whole tracker thing, just turn it sideways when you want to look at the screen with all the data on it, then it will move like a daw does… lol.

cool box. might get one at a later date.

I’ve been debating on picking this up. I sold the Digitakt because it couldn’t sample in stereo though. Even with importing samples it really hindered what I was going for. This has some additional features that might make it far more worth it. I especially the way it handles sample chopping vs the Digitakt.
