Polyend Tracker Mini

They moved from GitHub to polyend backstage their own forum where I do see engagement on asks and bugs.

See nothing from Polyend …

This is post announcement after backlash

Fuck sake

piotr raczyński is Polyend.

Lol how are users supposed to know that.

I’ve still absolutely no idea what “redesigned midi path (increased clock, stability with jitter)” means

I knew it, and I don’t know shit.

I’d have thought anyone who’s spent any time communicating with Polyend would know who Piotr is.

So you assume someone on YouTube saying an update will come is like an official statement from the company? Nice.

I have good news. OT MK III coming next month

I don’t assume anything, I was just showing you the video comments you asked for.

I don’t really give a shit, but you’re axe is starting to show.

It actually reads like Polish translated directly into English. Filling in the words I would interpret that as increased clock [sync], stability [to combat] jitter. Most of the points in there are pretty general though without going into specifics. Users will have to wait and see what all that means in practice.

This thread has been completely trashed.

If you want to complain about Polyend’s messaging around software updates, maybe start another thread so we can talk about the Tracker Mini.

Actually yeah. You’re right. Getting off topic and will move my pov somewhere else.

Yeah let’s switch this up. That reverb algorithm demoed sounds pretty amazing. So much better than the SP-404 MKII, MC-101 or the MPC reverbs!

Can’t figure why there’s all this friction about a little device like this, but it’s evident that some who can’t agree to disagree in a more civil manner are now generating a fair few flags. Try to avoid derailing the topic for others if you’re just getting agitated by a few contributors, take a wee break. TIA

So anyway, on the Mini - here are two things I want to see (I might have mentioned up thread, but I’ll repeat):

  1. Ability to play in notes (in scale) using the below the screen function keys …something like a note entry mode

  2. When entering notes using the data keys (+/-) it should only show notes in the selected scale. Today on the OG trackers using the jog wheel will go over all notes, even those out of the current scale.

Yeah. I was surprised. I think it’s similar to the custom reverb options on the Play.

I’m curious how note entering will be with the d-pad. Since there is per step and a variety fill tools I can see it being relatively easy and quick to trigger the note display overlay and then an action to place. We won’t know how that feels until it’s in our hands. I hope more hands-on videos emerge to reveal workflows.

Evidence says otherwise. I posted this bug on the GitHub 4 months ago and it never got so much as a reply/thanks/acknowledgement.

I really don’t like it when I take the time to report bugs through the official channels and then just get ignored. I’ve not experienced this with any other company.
