Polyend Play / +

Shook some dust off this gem of a device:

Are there any videos/recordings of people exploring the generative possibilities of the Play+ with the Perc engine? Most of the videos I’ve seen are just people trying to make fairly standard beats with classic drum sounds… I imagine there is a lot of potential for really dynamic and evolving percussion programming, but I haven’t heard any examples.

There is very little so far at least on the Play + Perc videos but few on the Tracker + which is basically the same Engine and because of the Biggest Screen UI Perc on tracker has easier editing.

play+ and tracker deals on reverb right now.

I snagged a Play+ at this price. Hopefully I can sell my OG Play for $300 to make it cheaper than the original upgrade price from Polyend.

Oh crap…those are good deals…for new units…hmmmmmmm.

Whoa…

Yup, I don’t need a new groove box to learn a different approach…but🥺

Me too.

Just take a look at the workflow of editing synth parameters… that was enough to kill the GAS for me

Yup. I love the Play, so decided to look at the Plus a little more in depth. The synth workflow is a gaskiller for me too. I guess the Plus adds USB audio, but that’s not worth the extra $200 to me (versus cost of a used Play).

if they’d add the editing ui from polyend Synth™️ the play+ would be amazin’. using the list is not enjoyable.

Do I want this??? The discount has me GASing…

I don’t need it. Do the performance features make this worth it in addition to already having DT II, DKII, and OP XY?

Buy the instrument, not the deal.

I was forged in the fires of the Jupiter XM and Juno X. I can deal with the Play+ synth parameters.

I enquired with Polyend about this as I was looking to purchase the Tracker+ in the UK but the offer is available to USA region only, so if your anywhere else, you’re out of luck which sucks.
