I’m firmly out of the eurorack / modular game, but MF these are high on “cool factor”! I absolutely love the Lego-like build it yourself aspect. The keyboard/sequencer is just the bit that might have made me keep my 0-coast. Oh well, I’m all about downsizing this year, so it had to go. Anyway, looks like TE have another winner. They’re on a roll, it seems.
Yeah kind of Lego meets Ikea meets TE meets Eurorack, fusion cooking!
they’re gonna sell tonnes o these yokes
Quite tempted by the 400 system, if the VCOs were not just single waveform then it would probably be better but I really like the look of it otherwise, the yellow upright case ticks many boxes aesthetically for me, gah!
Edit: Damn, I buckled
I like the humour of the ad , but I’m not buying it.
there is no way these can fit in your pocket
This gave me burrito type GAS
Must not give in…yet
Did not see this coming…
(Don’t know if I’ll buy them but still - amazing)
Just gonna have to wait for some hands-on videos…
549€ for the 400…GAS gone.
Thinking about pairing this with my Lego Mindstorms kit.
According to Engadget, “TE already plans to release single module expansions later this year.”
Like LEGO, it’s an infinite system.
Good job I don’t have infinite pockets then
Real surprised that they’d drop this hot off the heels of the OP-Z.
Kou-dThooz to TE!
Now that is interesting!!
I get a sense that theres more in store for OP-Z this month. Where are the audio demos!
For the price I think the 400 set is about right, similar to 0-Coast pricing with some +/-
Have we reached peak modular? Nah, I don’t think so.
I might/definitely make some add-ons for these.
Surely they’ll have this hooked up to opz to demo next week.
Peak modular might be when we see these at not just Ikea but Walmart too.
I remember hearing that TE had a deal brewing with Ikea. I wonder if these will be sold at Ikea, they definitely fit the product profile - flatpacking and all.
Way to stay strong for us! Please do give a report on the build and some sounds when you’re ready!
