Pluto Synth

Hi folks, I’m looking at semi-modular synths with interesting and playful sequencers as there are a few popping up and I could use some opinions from Pluto users.

I’m currently looking at:

-Pluto: 2 voices to create harmonic bass lines with generative sequencer functions. Added bonus of voice 2 having percussive sounds and using audio-in to influence the sequencer notes. Bonus bonus points for on board fx.

-Subharmonicon: same as above, Two voices for harmonic bass lines with even more harmonics and a fun sequencer. Harder to dial in, fewer sweet spots. Bonus points for subharmonics

-Labyrinth: same as above, two voices for harmonic sequences and generative sequencer features. No bonus points

-OP-Z: not semi-modular but multiple tracks. Can do harmonic bass lines among many other sounds. Has generative sequencer features with step components. Bonus points for on board fx and being a full groovebox. Previously had an OP-Z but build quality is concerning.

-Softpop 2: One voice, but has a generative-ish sequencer

-Taiga: basic sequencer/arp? Haven’t looked at it too closely

-Play: not interested

-Euclidean sequencers: not interested

-M8/Trackers: not interested

-Elmyra 2: So far, not interested

-Woovebox: have previous experience. Generative sequencer is really fun. Small isn’t always better.

Anything I haven’t considered? Opinions on the above?

My only other hardware, currently, is Deluge. I also have a Chroma Console on my pedal board which can be used with any options without fx.

Thanks!
