Playing p-locks in chromatic mode or via MIDI similar to Polyend Medusa Grid

There have been a few similar ideas in posts but nothing I could find exactly like what I’m chasing.

I’d like to be able to create a bunch of steps in a sequence with a range of different timbral shifts using p-locks. Then play these like an instrument. You can already “preview” p-locks by pressing a step + “Yes”. So basically what I’m chasing is this same thing without having to press yes every time as well.

I am basically trying to achieve something similar to what Polyend does with Medusa in the grid mode.

Send a feature request  even yes +trig instead of trig+yes would be good for this! I have requested that but a “play trigs” mode would be even cooler

Agreed… Yes+Trig is what I tried first. But being able to have a Play Trigs mode somewhere where you select chromatic mode/ scales that wouldn’t even require the sequencer to be in record mode would be insane! Plus it would save me from having to go buy a Medusa and even better could stay within my Elektron ecosystem.

I mean shit… it seems like the basic functionality is already there… just needs a tweak to access it a bit differently.

Where do you send feature requests?

The key idea discussed here and in other posts is a bit like this, in any case it’s fun to know and allows a snapshot facility of sorts to allow the player to press(hold) trigs to act like preset selectors (transport off) … use autochannel in grid edit mode
