Erica Synths consistently knocking it out of the park all over the catalog.

Noice! So many great kits from Erica Synths, it’s hard to keep up!

This box is glitch heaven! Never having soldered before, I’d never be able to put it together on my own, but attended a recent workshop at Volt Music in Rotterdam and was patiently guided through the assembly by the good folk of Erica Synths. However, when I try to connect it to the Mac it doesn’t show up and so I’m unable to load samples – I’ve tried what I find suggested online (changing cables, restarting the Mac, ditto the Pikocore) without success. The Mac Terminal app shows it is recognised, but I cannot get it to appear as an icon. Unfortunately, there’s no support from Erica Synths for the DIY version, and no dedicated forum that I can find. Any tips gratefully received!

Strange, I haven’t had trouble connecting it to my mac. I found it a bit tricky but you have to press a small button on the Pi chip, accessible through a small hole in the case, before connecting.
If you need support, you can reach out to zack@infinitedigits.co , the original creator of the device.

Thanks for the tip! Is it the hole in the plate underneath the Instrument? It’s the only hole I see in the casing, but thought best to check…

Yes that’s the one. Use a paper clip or similar and feel around for a push button. It needs to be pressed when powering on the unit for it to be detected as a drive.

Hello ppl. Does anyone have any problems with output volume level? Looks like mine is to quiet((( in all other, it’s amazing device

I don’t see it as much of a problem but yes the level doesn’t go very high on my unit either.

Anyone have issues with the rightmost volume/filter control ? Mine only reduces the level partially down to 12 o’clock, and does nothing below that. I’m wondering if a component may have been installed backwards ?
