So I bought a Digitakt from this guy on Facebook. He offered delivery but was only 20 miles away and it was a good price so I arranged to collect. Good condition he said, pet free home.
I rang the door bell and could hear the dogs barking. Had to contend with three large dogs jumping up at me as we did the deal.
All is well as I’m happy with the Digitakt, but thought I’d just share this as it did make me chuckle 
I would of offered him an extra $20 to play with his dogs for an hour.
Got a Digitone from Ebay recently, and while it was in excellent condition the package smelled like an ashtray 
No mention of smokefree in the listing though but it caught me by surprise ever so slightly…
I think they could smell my cat 
I feel cats and synths is more acceptable
I have long been under the impression that I am the pet (or service animal), while my synths are the masters of the house.
I would have asked 20$ off for each dog.

Maybe they were guard dogs, so, you know ‘not pets’ technically speaking.

Dogs don’t acknowledge the existence of synthesizers while cats behave like they invented them.
I wouldn’t have done the deal. And as funny as it may seem, for someone with allergies it might be at least inconvenient.
At least, the cardboard price matches the Keys.
Bought an Access Virus B off Gumtree many years ago and when I got there the house smelt like an ashtray. I’d gone all the way and it was a good price so went for it anyway, think I had to leave it outside for like a week to get rid of the smell

Back in the day when i got my rytm mk1 for a bargain 500€, the description said „cat home“. When i received it the whole machine was all itchy and sticky, just realllyy bad… spent the first hour cleaning up the thing and ultimately sent it over to Eleltron to replace the front. Worked out fine and the rytm is now enjoying a pet free studio 🥹
