Not used the beta, I know Ill love it so I just pre ordered it. Shame it still cant load auv3 instruments per channel though.
Yes, itās pretty much a no-brainer
Seconded. That would be lush.
Does Patterning feature multiple samples spread over the velocity range for any given drum part?
Best iOS drum machine, hands-down.
Bought. Have always loved v2, sounds like a killer update. Between Drum Computer and Patterning, you could make the case that you really donāt need a new drum machine ever again. Which would be lies, ALL LIES!
I am stoked for the new parametric swing feature. If itās the āStolperbeats in software formā that I am hoping it is, I will be having a blast with that!
The only thing Iāve been begging Olympia for years of course is the capability to slice up a sample and spread it across the circle in however many slices you wanted!
Does Patterning allow differing track lengths in one pattern ? E.g kick/clap/hats running over 16 steps, but Percs running over 32 or 64 steps ?
Yes. You can have one pattern running 54 steps another 16 and another 7 if you like. It excels at this.
Yes. Different pattern lengths (any number from 1 to 512) and different step durations (e.g. sixteenth, dotted sixteenth, sixteenth triplet, quarter note, etc). So you can do polymeter and polyrhythm to your heartās content.
There are few sequencers, hardware or software, that are as thoroughly capable of doing poly- stuff.
Couple of Qs:
Is patterning limited to 8 tracks ?
Do you have to buy the iPhone and iPad app separately? Pay twice I mean? (Yes, I see itās only Ā£4.99)
Patterning for iPhone is a different app altogether, optimized for iPhone so it is a separate purchase.
Patterning 3 comes out in a few weeks. I donāt think a version for iPhone is planned.
Each instance is 8 tracks, yes, but you can just load another instance of it (in AUM, Drambo, etc)⦠I canāt imagine needing more than 2 of them, Iāve never needed more than 1 tbh.
