Hi all. I’m using my Digitakt for a live set and I want to save the patterns in the project, open the project, make changes to the project, not save the project, and then reopen it and have it be in the state that I last saved it in. Is this possible? It seems that every time I make some changes the machine writes them in even though I don’t save them to the temp area or the project.
Just reload the project as you did initially, the digitakt will preserve RAM even through power cycles. Alternatively, quick save (FUNC + yes) when you open the project, then quick load (FUNC + no) when you’re done.
Thanks for the response. Yea this is the issue I’m having. It saves the changes that I made that I didn’t save. Tracks that were muted (in pattern mutes) that I unmuted will be unmuted etc. Also, I should’ve been more clear… this is for a pretty large project with many different patterns. I would like to save them all in one state and be able to perform the project (obviously changing many parameters) and then reopen the project and have all the patterns in their original state.
Have you tried reloading the project? The DT won’t automatically save anything if you dont do it manually, however settings persist through power cycles.
You need to go to Settings > Project > Load Project > “project name” and then reload the same project you had saved before making these changes. DT keeps all settings even if turned off until you reload a project.
