Pattern change one bar late issue (workarounds?)

There is a known bug that can cause patterns to change too late when the receiving device is in PER TRACK scale mode and the master length is higher than 16.

I thought I knew where the definitive statement of the problem was, but it appears I don’t. The findings of these two posts also clarifies when this happens.

I found out that the problem starts when I enable length per track [on the follower machine]

It does work with varied track lengths though. It only doesn’t work if master length is set to infinite.

BTW I’m not considering either of the problems with Elektron → Others and Others → Elektron here. Clarifying because people are discussing many different problems in this thread.
