I’m trying to figure out if this is a bug or if i’m missing something about how parts are tied to patterns (or not)
So far the behavior I’ve come to expect is when I load a part, the current pattern will store the part selection and recall it whenever the pattern is played in the future - Is this right?
This isn’t happening when I switch from a pattern in bank A to a pattern in bank B (ie. the pattern in bank B is not using the assigned part until I press [part] then [yes] on the part I want)
Is this a bug or user error?
thanks!
There are four parts per bank, the 16 patterns in bank A use the four bank A parts, the 16 patterns in bank B use the four bank B parts etc.

So if I’m playing bank A pattern 9 (which has bank A part 1 assigned) then I select bank B pattern 1 (which has bank B part 1 assigned) shouldn’t it change parts automatically? (it isn’t doing)
Ah! My mistake - I had a thru machine that was processing my synths audio - it was the thru machines fx that weren’t updating (I realized the midi program etc. were being updated which is what gave me the clue).
I hadn’t put any triggers on the thru machine so that track wasn’t getting updated.
Thanks, and sorry for not giving the whole picture in the first place
