Parameter lock tricks

Hey guys, Ive had the A4 for some time now, but one thing I have barely gotten into are the p-locks, even though I see many of you greatly praising them.

So I wanted to ask, what are some cool tricks to do with the p-locks, that might not be so obvious?

Welcome to the e forums!

Why not the obvious? They can be the best.

Have a melody playing, add vibrato to only a few notes. It adds so much expressiveness.
That’s how it starts, then the sky is the limit

Other usual suspects: Filter Q, filter env attack, delay send.

  • note length, for rhythm & phrasing
  • noise level, colour & decay for percussion beside some other sound
  • reverb level for cavernous dub
  • Pitch for changing chords or inversions (using both oscs and the 5th sub)
  • LFO settings for all sorts of things
  • Filter frequency for tuning harmonics to go with the chords from further up the list
  • Amp level & envelope and filter tweaks to get heavy on the downbeat
  • Pan position to spin out your listener

Changing the LFO destination in addition to LFO settings per note.
