Pad is missing triggers or false settings somehow?

Hey everyone.
So as i said before i am new to the Digitakt. Yesternight i tried the chromatic mode and realized that if i play a melody relatively fast , the Digitakt will miss a Pad hit here and there , meaning there will be no sound at times. Is this common or am i in some mode that i cant realize ?

The sequencer resolution is sixteen trigs per bar (or 32 if you set track scale to 2x) and can only record one note per step (or chord for MIDI tracks) - presumably so the data is actually manageable for editing.
Unquantized recording (hit [rec] + [play] twice) may help somewhat, by placing notes played in quick succession on multiple trigs with microtiming.
And it’s possible to use retrigs to have the same sound repeated multiple times per trig.

The Elektron sequencer is not really made to handle complex melodic pieces like this, and I usually record them as audio (via the USB connection to my iPad) - though an external MIDI sequencer may also have the resolution you are looking for.
As I understand it, sixteenths would be equivalent to “4 PPQN” resolution, while the MIDI spec can support up to 24 PPQN.
People here have recommended the Retrokits RK-008 for this.

Ah ok! So i am in other words playing „between“ the resolution steps . Makes sense.

Ok will try the unquantized method also and 32ths.

To the Rk 008, i took a look but dotn like the idea of another device in order to do basic things .
I can live with the shortcomings of the digitakt i think Just dont know it that well yet.
Maybe the easiest thing to do what i want would be to simply leave complex melodies for the other gear, like the minilogue but before i will try to alter the resolution. Did not think of that tbh

Thank you
