Oxi One Hardware Sequencer

I haven’t. Haven’t messed with the oxi i the last few weeks. Would be great to know either way…

on one mkII, does anyone have instrument definitions for model:cycles? I’m trying to it in the app, but unfortunately this is the only one with an issue… I click the name, but nothing happens. does anyone know what could be wrong?

DId you also try the one from the great https://midi.guide/ page?
Elektron Model Cycles MIDI CCs and NRPNs

you can find there definitions for Hapax, Oxi, Deluge, Droid, Pyramid, and more

For MK2 owners:
in case you don’t know this nice feature,
try to hold one of the 16 pads in matricial mode and turn encoder 1 … it will give you some happy accidents based on the pulse count

Fixed (for my own peace of mind).

Don’t forget you’d have multiple Chan 1s, multiple Chan 2s, etc. I have B going to 1-16 of the DT2, C to 1-16 of Digitone2, and A goes to a splitter and routes to my analog keys, mono synths, and pedals.

ooh, that’s great work! I didn’t know about this website, I’m definitely going to check it out. thank you so much for the heads-up!

…unfortunately, just like before, the file for the M:C doesn’t work… I’ve tried importing it into the macOS app and nothing happens (again). I tested it with the settings from other instruments, and those worked fine. I think the M:C is being sabotaged :stuck_out_tongue:

The “min” “max” numbers are set to null in the definition file. There has to be a number in there. Usually min is 0 and max is 127. Bit of a pain but if you can edit the file and replace the “null” with numbers it should work. I edited the file but deleted all but four CC’s and put numbers in there and it imported fine.

Before:
{
“type”: “cc”,
“name”: “Reverb Size”,
“abbr”: “RvSi”,
“minimum”: null,
“maximum”: null,
“default_value”: 0,
“nr1”: 87,
“nr2”: 0

After:

{
“type”: “cc”,
“name”: “Reverb Size”,
“abbr”: “RvSi”,
“minimum”: 0,
“maximum”: 127,
“default_value”: 0,
“nr1”: 87,
“nr2”: 0
Model Cycles.oxiindef (5.5 KB)

Edit: I edited the whole file with find and replace. Worked for me if you want to try it.

Hi, I’m on FW 1.0.11 beta. What FW did you use in that video?

Anyone purchased an MK two and have a wonky power button?

I have an MK one that works perfectly, sadly I’m probably gonna have to send back my MK to because of an unreliable connection.

I sent mine back for the reason that I had to press sometimes 3 or 4 times before it would turn on. For the rest, I loved the machine.

I haven’t :\

Hi there, I cannot get my Oxi to sequence my TV subtracks. I have them set up as you have laid out but nothing. I’m using midi channel 8 on Oxi multitrack going to track 8 on TV. I have been able to successfully sequence other tracks using Oxi live wavefinder on TV (although for some reason I haven’t been able to sequence the grainer or multisamples either). Any help would be appreciated!

Hi!

I just tested this again and I was able to make it work as described. Make sure you have “notes receive” in midi config > port config menu on the Tonverk. Then use the multitrack mode on the OXI and set the correct notes. Also make sure the velocity is not set to low on the triggers on the OXI.

I got it fixed in the end thanks - I had been filtering out the midi messages for that channel on my Neuzeit drop.

There are some overpriced used Monome Ansible modules floating around. Can you connect the Oxi One Mk2 to the Ansible module? I mean the hardware one.

The OXI One can be set as a USB Host device so I would say yes, it can connect to the Ansible. It has to be a direct connection though and not through a USB hub.
