I have the same problem
For now, i solve it by having separate keyboards, one left hand does the harmony, right hand shreds a separate synth. I wonder whether these two could and up in a single instrument, say everything in the end is playing a single piano. I can’t see why not.
That’s a good point, I want to have a clean reproducible case then I’ll file a bug.
One solution is keyboard zones. It is the wrong solution ; ) The right solution is an on/off midi message coming from a pedal. Come on nerds.
Oooh, like the third pedal on a grand piano which does the special sustain that only affects keys that are down when the pedal goes down. Makes sense, very pianistic! We’d need a pedal that sends note on for all active notes to the harmonizer channel when going down, and note off for all these when going up. Easy to code, I’m sure one of these special smart midi cables that run scripts would support it, if not the case already.
Sostenuto. Maybe I’m the nerd.
After the last Mk1 FW update all my instrument presets went missing. Anyone know how to get these back? They were factory data but I happen to own a number of those synths and having them premapped was nice.
I could not reproduce the issue. All chords, even random clusters, were correctly harmonised, respecting the bass. I assume user error in my previous post, I suspect the sequence I used back then might have had its bass on the 2nd degree, which if working as intended might explain what I misinterpreted as a bug.
This thing is incredible. Here goes my early bed plans!
Instruments are available in the desktop app for transfer to the oxi one.
Thanks! worked a treat, I had the old version of the app and didn’t realize there was a new one.
Anyone have a handy PDF to CSV scraper to convert midi implementation charts that aren’t on midi guide into midi guide format? Don’t feel like brute forcing it or writing a script myself at the moment but a few synths I want mapped aren’t available.
it has been my experience that pdf midi implementation docs are not standardized enough to use a parser/converter without some serious headache.
I’d recommend checking out the oxi discord in the tips section, some new instruments are in there. Alternatively, AI is great at this sort of thing.
I suggested using an AI tool to create instruments on the Discord as well. It would be great if OXI could implement something like that directly in the app since it’s super tedious to manually fill out every field right now. I created an instrument for the TWISTfm and not sure i will ever do it again.
And I wish the ones you create will be shared to everyone via the app but it doesn’t seem like it. I posted it on discord but I thought the idea was to be able to upload your instrument for everyone to be able to download.
Finally i did install v5 (.09) on my MKI Oxi and i have some nasty bugs:
there seems to be a problem with the“pulse reset“ setting when using analog clock (out). Tested with different combinations. Most obvious problem:
I do clock (and reset) my 4ms catalyst sequencer with it and now the first step of a sequence is always ignored and it (pre) shifts the whole sequence by one step (means, if i have a kick on step one it plays on step 16 now). The catalyst is fine, it does work properly when using drumbrute impact as clock master. And it did work before v5. And Catalyst works fine if i use two oxi gate outputs for clock/reset.
Also, it doesn‘t automatically start/stop/reset my drumbrute impact anymore. I need to press“play“ on the drumbrute before i hit“play“ on the Oxi. Was working fine before as well.
Next bug:
„Random perform“ (velocity, gate, trig, retrig) is not working anymore in multitrack sequencer (not via midi or cv/gate). Seems to work in other sequencer though i only tested in poly seq.
And last one (but i had this one before v5 as well):
note hangs more or less often when using external keyboard (tested with usb and trs midi with kork nanokey and behringer wave).
Whats the best adress to report this if someone doesn‘t like discord
I understand there is a remote mode for the Oxi One. I wanna try to use the Oxi One as a Drambo bidirectional midi controller. The idea is to use StreamByter to convert the midi msg from Drambo to sysex msg for the Oxi One.
Drambo feedback port → StreamByter (stand alone )
Drambo IN module StreamByter → OUT module → Oxy One .
I dont know if i can do more simple.
If you really dont like discord I’d try their own forum: Bugs report - OXI Instruments Forum
Or alternatively their contact form here: OXI Instruments — Contact Us

You can get help in the Drambo forum.
Been getting deeper into the Oxi One MKII sequencer and was wondering if people had any tips or methods for Project / Song organisation to keep track of things and what is actually what.
Obviously we can name Projects but I was thinking more in terms of inside that project with Patterns where I find I can easily get a little lost of what is what. I believe you can even mix and match each Sequencer setup per Pattern eg (total different instrument) which I guess is amazing flexibility wise but can add to the confusion. eg In one Project one sequencer lane could be many different songs using different Instruments
Eg have 8 pattern squares per song (though the CV I Gate physical marking may be a nice indicator of new song since it’s right in the middle of the 8th and 9th buttons). Or do people use one Project per Song for easier organisation now that we have an SD card which I guess would work fine if in the studio but not so much Live I guess.
Any tip or hints much appreciated.
Hey! Does anyone have both a Torso T1 and an Oxi One? I am looking for some workflow comparisons but sadly didn’t find anyone that got proficient with both at the same time ![]()
No answer for you, just that I relate to the issue. Had the same with my Mk1.
Nice that Mk2 has more SD storage for projects. Does it load projects without pausing or losing timing? If so that would be nice.
I sold the mk1. I liked it but also Found it a bit fiddly / menu divey / opaque. Anyone who’s had mk1 and 2, are you finding the 2nd one more intuitive with the extra buttons etc?
