Overbridge WIN 10 BSOD

Anyone BSOD when Overbridge is activated on Win 10? It did with DN2 and now with DT2.
I know is hard to sort out but just wondering if anyone had the same experience?

Ia it compatible with win 10 ?

Overbridge is compatible with Windows 10. Maybe your security settings aren’t allowing the OB engine to start? What does the message on the blue screen say? Maybe try relaxing your security settings or find out where you have to go to add the program to your safe list.

Otherwise, I don’t know. OB works with windows 10 though.

BSODs normally involve a hardware (eg memory), driver or kernel issue. Possibly with Overbridge it could be a USB driver issue. I’d suggest considering updating your motherboard drivers if you can to rule that out, and also look up how to run a memory test on boot. Always do a System Restore before any driver updating though.

Like others say too, the BSOD should also give some indication as to what the issue is and this may (or may not!) help guide you.

Yes, It happens:

The error point to the overbridgesystemaudio.sys and I guess it has something to do with USB port s but everything has been updated

There is a chance that software wise there is nothing which can be « solved » if your drivers and OB is up to date, but everything to be dig into your usb.

Few things which came to my mind to dig into your issue and find the root cause :

  • Plug just one Elektron box into your PC and keep only one usb device plugged into it and use OB
  • change the USB port on your computer you use for OB
  • Change your usb cable, some usb cable could be bent too much and produce small error which can at some point be problematic and software can suffer, but nothing is seen to show those error directly on windows

Tried uninstalling ALL of my USB drivers Reset-Re install and it worked for One session only to crash in BSOD again, like if there is a procedure such as turn ON the overbridge prior to switch Overbridge sotware ON or Switch the Overbridge on the Device after initializing the Engine … ??

The BSODs you’re seeing are due to some other components in your system not really an order of operations here.

Provide more info on the BSOD, you can get more detailed information in your Event Viewer, Application logs, filter for Critical or Error, if there’s nothing there perhaps System logs in viewer.

This could be memory, could be an issue with your hard drive, as mentioned could be with other USB devices as well.

One thing to definitely do is uninstall /clean out all prior versions, restart fully and reinstall.

There’s plenty of things we can do to troubleshoot but we will need a bit more information on the BSOD.

I understand the complexityof a BSOD resolution and I already tried to detect the error in the Event Viewer with no luck, I should try a 3rd paty Log system but at this stage the error recorded is the PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA with OverbridgeSystemAudio.sys failing, keep investigating
