Overbridge Recording is Early/Fast

Hello.

I have Overbridge set up in my DAW (Studio One) sending midi notes to my analog 4 over USB.

When recording the audio back into my DAW, I’m surprised to find the notes are triggering BEFORE the beat. If anything I would expect it to be a little behind the beat.

I’ve been looking for any settings that might be causing this and haven’t found any solutions.

Anyone know what the problem could be?

Well I eventually found a solution in case anyone searches this.

When I have the midi notes on the same track as my Analog Rytm Overbridge Plugin, when the analog signal is recorded back (through my RME interface) the notes are early, to the point that the first hit is actually cut off, triggered before it even starts recording.

What fixed it is putting the midi data on a separate track, which has its note output set to the track with the Overbridge plugin on it. This way the audio track that is capturing the analog output is able to get the signal perfectly on time.

Do I understand it, no. Does it work, yes.

This was done in Bitwig on an M2 Mac and a RME Fireface interface, using my Analog Rytm.
