Overbridge introducing a shift to the left to all MIDI notes

Hello,

I’m pulling my hair out over a really strange bug :
I mainly work with a Syntakt and a Circuit Tracks, and I usually start each of my tracks on Ableton. Once I’m happy with my draft, I record my patterns by pressing “record” on the CT and letting the pattern run in Ableton.
Except that earlier, for the first time, I was working on a project with both the Syntakt connected via USB with Overbridge and the CT via MIDI to my audio interface (Steinberg UR 22 Mk II), and I couldn’t record my pattern properly.
As soon as I delete the MIDI track containing OB, the pattern records normally. The strangest thing is that OB does not introduce latency; the notes are not delayed, just one step ahead.
(I would have liked to add photos, but as a new user, it doesn’t seem I can)
I tried different buffer sizes, different latency compensation settings, etc., but nothing worked.
Am I missing something ?

If I understand correctly, you are recording midi notes from ableton onto your hardware by manually pressing record and catching the pattern in the sequencer.

Did you try recording unquantized? It may have to do with the direction in which the quantization favors note placement when the note input is off the grid left or right of the trig.

Just a guess, good luck either way.

Yes that’s it.

And yes, I did try recording unquantized, still the same behavior …
And what I forgot to mention in my original post and that is even more weird : this only affects the recorded notes position. The audio itself sounds good.

All in all, it’s not a critical bug, it only happens when I want to record something so it’s just a matter of deleting OB, recording, and pressing CTRL+Z, but it’s still weird I have to do that …
