i heard on facebook that some guys are already beta testing but can t tell more about it right or wrong? don t know!!!

We’re not talking about strawberries and sweet promises.
I focused on it for my purchase of 2,600 Euro (A4 + AR), an official update and promoted for almost a year and a release date in December 2014, then " a bit delayed " to February 2015 for the open beta and end March 2015 for the full update.
February has passed and no one has bothered to write something (Elektron staff).
I do not claim the update today and now, but I would like at least some info on status or possible release date ( a bit delayed once again ? )

February is over and they haven’t released it- do you actually need Elektron to tell you that it has been delayed??

i think it´s time for elektron to deliver. It was announcend really long time ago. For sure with the intension to sell more pieces. Especially for people interesting without big outboard gear or bigger sound cards with a lot of in/out plugs. Like me and I love the machine but i know can´t get full potential out of it without lot of workaround or loosing some flexibility of the workflow.
So Elektron please work harder to release that tool that you promise us customers.
Sorry for pushing but it was not my idea for announcing such a long time before the tool is really working,

I agree, the announcement was slightly premature but I would rather have a slow release and a solid product rather than a quick release with all kinds of problems. Please, Elektron, take your time.
Not having Overbridge shouldn’t be getting in anyone’s way of using their machines. Or is it? I mean did people have Overbridge at some point, become accustomed to using it and then magically somehow it went away?
I agree that this is getting out of hand. I too bought the Analog 4 only after the sales person told me about overbridge and it’s eminent release.
It was the thing that made the sale!
To the others with the daft remarks about it will be ready when its ready.

When people make purchasing decisions based on claims they are ENTITLED to ask REASONABLE questions.
I am totally happy using beta software with a few bugs. Hell even fully released software has bugs. if you can’t take the risk then DON’T.
I would categorize Overbridge as a “nice to have,” not “essential for working with my A4/AK/AR.” OB is just one slice of the pie and a “value-add,” a “bonus,” if you will.
It’s a small company and they have a lot on their plate. Heck, they’re even hiring people right now to alleviate some of the burden, possibly to concentrate more on OB.
My advice is to really dig into your Analog4/K/Rs and when the time comes, you’ll have some great material to record (or re-record) into your DAW.
Really? You made a thousand plus dollar decision based on what some sales person said? Did this person work for Elektron or were they the usual hung over, half-stoned minimum wage peddler covering their buddies shift?
And that’s who you based your decision on? That’s all you then playa!
there is none, this is a user forum, take all the ultimately pointless impatient ‘energy’ and put it to some use - one of you ask through official channels, meanwhile those of us happy to wait til it’s ready can do that, instead of bumping this pointless thread every 5 minutes - we get it, it’s late, no amount of whinging is going to change that - none - it’s free - it’ll come when they see fit, not a moment before, we’re all keen to see what it can do, but we’re not entitled in any way shape or form, just wait or at least ask somewhere where you’re likely to get a response - but that will be, i’m guessing, 'things are running late, sorry, it’ll be out as soon as it’s ready"

Are there really people who are unaware of the golden rule of technology?!
Make your purchases based on what it can do, not what it may do in the future.
But as others have said, there’s no way they are going to NOT release it eventually.
And all you impatient people might need a reminder of what beta software is- there’s a good chance it will not be fully functional and bug free for a while yet…
I didnt buy my machines for overbridge. Only use my computer for sample management. I see how overbridge might make this more efficient. That would be great, but it works as is, for me now.
For me the FREE software seems to be getting in the way of hardware OS development. I paid money for machines that came with an assurance of steady OS updates from elektron. This isn’t happening currently. So I can’t wait until it is released and the attention can be focused again on the machines.
I realize that was th OB we should also see OS updates in tandem. So… Let’s go!

Of course you have the right to, it’s a semi-free forum.
Many of us are also expressing our rights to be fed up with the entitled complaining.
Except Overbridge was factored into the price of the A4/AK/AR and not the Octatrack so your point is moot.
