Overbridge as iOS/iPadOS app?

This is something i would support, so that older ipads can be used

What effects on the Ipad could you recommend?

I would really go with this Ipad Overbridge thing!

This. Does it work reliably and with low latency?

But even having option to use USB as additional stereo output and choose which tracks goes to it (like in Syntakt to effect track) or use it as separate send output would be incredible. If it could do both (so 2 stereo tracks), that’s all I’d probably ever need.

I think it would be great to group tracks in Aum. Throw MolliLooper on the groups ( or other looper au3) and go to town so to speak.

There are so many to choose from. I wouldn’t know where to start

This sounds to me like someone saying ā€œhey, if RME can get 32 samples buffers working well for their audiointerfaces, others have no excuseā€. low level programming such as what this stuff requires isnt something everyone has access to in equal level of sophistication. Some devs are better at certain things than others.

I have no idea of what the dev team is able to do or not to do, but perhaps another way of looking at it is that OB audio tracks from different Elektron devices can all be recorded at the same time. With class compliant you would need an aggregate device, which is something I have had bad experiences with myself. OB supposedly just work, as far as I can understand…

Update from Superbooth 2025. Thanks to XRCST for this. It’s very exciting!

Long shot but I’m going to suggest this is a tease of why there are 2 usb slots on the tonverk leak. A survey email about how we use fx will be next. 100% all made up. I’m tired.

I did not say that.

I hope dev team is considering Transfer app for mobile…that would be lifesaver. Sampling one sound per time is really PIA

How long does it usually take elektron to release stuff like this after an announcement/showcase?

Anyone know if there will be a beta testing program?

They should put it out as beta and focus on other things more. Look at this thread since the news is out. There are only a few really into overbridge for ios.

Overbridge just for multitracking into iOS would be big for me (I don’t use a laptop DAW), but with individual device controls would be huge.

Few? It’s one of the most watched and commented videos on sonicstate in superbooth videos. Also Elektron said themselves that there is demand apparently.

Anyway, I would be happy with just the streaming of audio.

Second that.

This could easily take a few months, it was communicated as early alpha/interest gauge, and when DT2 and DN2 came out they were not in overbridge beta yet and took a ehile to get there.

Could also go really fast depending on a lot of factors like how much effort they have to put into the codebase to account for platform differences etc. But I would expect it to take a while

There inevitably will be s beta period, probably closed beta at first, then public invite based after that.

The software on display at superbooth seemed pretty much ready to go. So I’m guessing it’s a matter of getting it to be properly compatible across different ipad os versions and models?

Was it demoed with more than one type of product? There can be so many things left to do, but to accurately gauge interest you need a working prototype, so you pick a scenario that works well enough and show it.

They could also be really close to a beta, hard to tell from a user perspective especially if they are tightlipped about it.

Anyways, the answer was ā€no, there’s no typical showcased att Namm, ready in 2 weeks standard behavior/historyā€
