Overbride Side-Chain Inputs Cubase

Hi all,

Completely new to the Elektron world and I already love it. I bought the Syntakt and while I’m setting up my Cubase template, I thought, “Can I create a to send my DAW audio to the FX in the Syntakt?” and I notice these Side-Chain channels and think that’s how I do it. But when I try to send a signal nothing happens.

I can’t see anything on Google, the forums or in the manual. What are these mysterious inputs? Are they just reminents for the Analog range or do they do something here?

Again, I am new and I love this bit of kit, but I am so lost.

Thank you,

Kyle

Cheers for the reply, I had considered the USB mode for the effects pass, but I was just wondering if there was a more convenient way.

Well I did do a bit more research (does feel a bit hidden) but there is the USB mode where you can set the USB as pre/post effects. In Overbride mode, I noticed the audio routing tab and that can be sent to “Pre FX L/R” and I thank that would be how it’s done.

I haven’t tested this yet, but I assume that specifically refers to the Analog Block and from there they can be sent to delay/reverb. It would be nice if audio could be sent direct to the delay and reverb via USB as I do make a lot of us the Analog block on the device itself. I will likely have to record a pass of the track without all the synth track’s playing and another without the side-chain to print the daw effects and print the Syntakt effects. Needs some experimentation.
