OT Videos ( the weird and the wonderful)

So I am heading down to Tokyo on Friday to pick up my OT (exciting) as my MDUW has been getting lonely. I have spent the past month watching youtube videos, reading the manual etc. True overkill.

Anyway, I would really like to see some crazy videos. Something other than straight 4x4 techno. I want to see something different. I know the OT can do different. I’ve heard of people using an AKAI MPD32 and playing the OT like an MPC. Maybe some Hip hop, or some BoC style ambient stuff.

So give us your videos of the the stranger less esoteric side of the OT.

This is by no means 4x4

Not a video, but this is a two piece EP I did entirely on the Octatrack sampling my own voice singing, second track is a bit ambient-ish. You can stream it or download it from here;

Great replies guys.

Love the glitchy breaks.

I had heard the EP before. Nice and dark and brooding. Might also mention this one.

Here’s a few tutorials to get you started too:

these ones are sweet:

and a special mention to Skab’s tutorials…for me “weird” useful tutorials:

Amazing work… If all that was made from your voice, it really highlights the power of the OT. Exactly the push I need to keep learning this device of devilry.

I had fun making this. http://vimeo.com/45376591

My OT tutorials

and some more leftfield jams

that should get you going

Enjoy your new baby !!

First thing when i got the OT was to listen to it’s reverb. And like it was made for me to do just that the new OS version with new reverbs came out just when i got it  I got a lot of help by watching the videos of dataline and octatips and ofcourse the master above my post…

Thank you all for that!

This is my first try with the OT.

I really like the atmosphere of your track

this was an early classic: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hhGyYnx_7y8

A bit of grave digging here. But I wanted to share my weird stuff with you and this seems to be appropriate thread.

Peace!

Well here’s an old one of mine I still enjoy.

This was me messing around with Octatrack and Cirklon (and beer)

I’d love to see this.
