OT - sound quality

Exactly @SKull
And I doubt any pro’s would use an OT to produce music with. It’s all DAW .

why not?

I’m saying like big Pro recording studios.

All those big pro techno stars? Lol

I probably don’t know what I’m talking about.

When i was a kid i went to a Rolling Stones concert with my dad and the next day i could go to school late so i missed the swimming class which i hated. Was a bit boring but huge stadium and a lot of lights.

Btw for me the sound quality of the Octatrack is around 85% And everything above 70% is cool with me. Yes, i did several different audio tests to form my opinion.

Edit:
I just found out that i had time stretch on for all the tests. Ok, so now the Octatrack is around 90%.

Oh, and i wasn’t recording at 24khz.

And damn, the filter was on.

Ok, i think the sound quality of the OT is at 94% now.

So, there’s the topic at hand and then there’s about 80% of the recent replies.

One of these two categories relates to the original intent of the thread.

Let’s try to keep the replies from here on out applicable to the former, k?

Thx!

Here is interesting point where Elektron could go for a mk3.

Pure hypothetical, OT mk3 with Overbridge technology. But, instead of connecting to a computer, the option for a hardware I/O expander. Let’s say for the 8 stereo tracks, 8 stereo I/O. Like this we can work on our personal sound and enter the world of Pedal Crush on p-locks.

For now we are just ‘limited’ like Stimming with his external audio thing. The Analog Heat, SSL SiX or Elysia units.

There’s a thread for that:

I feel like you are limited. Maybe speak for yourself. My OT is exactly what I need.

I agree that “next product” talk belongs in a separate thread.
