Hello.
I’m having trouble with slicing in the AED. Can someone tell me why my slices keep disappearing after I’ve made many slices? I’ve clicked ‘save sample settings’ but still, I keep losing my slices.
Has anyone encountered this problem???

It should work… Have you selected slice mode? Could you give more details how it happens ?
Yes, in slice mode.
It’s a little bit hard to explain, because it doesn’t happen to every track, just perhaps this one or two tracks.
I create slices, I toy with it a bit, and then I go back to the slice mode in the AED and it says ‘no more slices’. So I don’t need to save anything after using the start and end loop points, after clicking ‘add slice here’?
I’ve not had this happen, hopefully someone else will know what might be happening
Are you recording new audio into the buffer after it’s been sliced? That can cause it. There are ways around it - it’s been discussed on here.
Can’t think of other reasons why you’d lose slices right now. But if you are recording into the buffer after youve set up some slices, search the forum for ‘presliced buffers’ - it’s kind of a notorious area for confusion!
This message doesn’t mean your slices disappeared. It just means that you reached the beginning or the end of slice’s list, when you scroll with arrows.
Sices don’t disappear if you record audio over, unless if the recording is shorter : slices are messed up or disappear if the recording is stopped too early, before the end of the previously sliced recording (or a sample loaded in a Recording slot).
Other than that, I’ve never seen them disappear.
You can save sample settings indeed, so that you can reload slices, but normally, slices are automatically stored with the slot.
It’s also one of the best features 
Slices can also disappear if you reload the sample.
