OT sequencer stops unexpectedly

That has occurred to me certainly, but so far I have yet to try alternate tempos. Any tips on YT vids on using alternate tempo? I have seen folks use that as a trick to get more that 64 steps. Or at least suggest it.

Could you elaborate ?

I fell asleep

There is no MIDI specification for tempo; there are only Timing Clock messages.

It’s up to the instrument manufacturer to receive or send Clock messages at a rate of 24 per quarter note and relate them to the instrument’s tempo as they wish.

I imagine that a manufacturer might want to limit the range of tempos that their device would use according to user expectations and hardware limitations (not so fast that the instrument cannot cope with and not so slow that extra memory is required or instability occurs).

I meant I have not tried just clocking higher and using tempo divide in all of my patterns, as proposed by darenager.
