OT - quantize of mute/unmute from mixer at all possible?

Hi,

I’m wondering if there is a quantize setting on the OT MKII which would take mute/unmute actions from the mixer page to be quantized, so that you could do this on the fly live and make sure you hit the beat?

This would be useful for bringing tracks in and out as you please.

thanks

I don’t know about quantising manual mutes, but the Arranger can be programmed with them.

Could you instead of muting the track, stop it? Because I think the Stop (and Play) could be quantised.

(I’m a noob tho, I might be wrong!)

(Stopping the sequencer for that track might be in fact better, because reverb and delay tails won’t get chopped off!)

While looping a pattern in Arranger, when you change its mutes live they are also quantized (to pattern length AFAIK). Mutes can be programmed too. You can loop some patterns with mute settings, change the loop to another one with different settings, quantized to pattern length.

As @tengig said, you can play quantized :
REC SETUP 2 : QPLAY or AUDIO EDITOR > ATTRIBUTES > QUANTIZED Trig (these parameters are the same)
Not sure about quantized stop.

Play Free Tracks can be quantized (play and stop)

You also can use different patterns with different VOL settings, parts, scenes…

Not convenient, but you can control audio tracks mutes with midi tracks (midi loopback).
