So this has happened twice now. The OT came back from repairs a few weeks ago. Never had a problem before this, been making songs for years. Now, it’s out of warranty…
This is baffling to me. I saved a project and was listening fine. I leave the table.
I come back to the Octatrack and when I press play I only hear the first track.
The track is blinking green. I try to disable the CUE, but it doesn’t matter.
I have tried everything but no sound is coming from the other channels. How should I troubleshoot this?
I tried enabling/disabling CUE, but it doesn’t matter. Even with the first channel turned off, it is still audible.
I can turn off all channels (both CUE and regular) - but all channels except 1 are only audible with CUE enabled. The first channel is audible the entire time, even being off…
(PS: I did not change any mixer settings on this project and did not enable quick mute. I tried to look at the CUE/Monitor settings, but I hadn’t changed them in the first place)
How do you listen to? Main Outs, headphones?
If headphones, do you listen Main + Cue?
(Mixer Level knob setting)
Any midi connection, that would send Control Changes modifying mixer or other settings?
Thanks for the responses guys, I really appreciate it. I emailed elektron, they asked for a video - they said it’s weird…
The led is solid red.
When I turn it off, it is solid orange.
The sound on the first channel keeps playing regardless.
In the mixer, it says ‘S’ on track one - regardless of me pressing anything - it doesn’t go away with the above mentioned button presses. And, nothing else will play except if they’re CUE.
The mixer setting is pure default. I checked and turned it to CUE and M fully. No difference to channel one - keeps playing.
I’d try to:
-make sure nothing is cued (no flashing track LEDs)
----if any track lights are flashing uncue with cue+track
With mixer open:
-set mix in the middle if using phones
-make sure main master volume is at 0 or slightly above
-press cue+trig1 and see if the S for solo goes away…
