Hi All,
I just received a replacement faceplate for my OT as it was fairly worn and bashed up.
It looks lovely but did not come with the acrylic screen protector.
I have asked support whether they have spares but wondered if any of you have attempted removing one and attaching it to the new one?
It feels pretty welded on right now and imagine removing it would compromise it’s seal for re use. Let me know your thoughts on this.
Thanks
Hey - did you ever end up doing the swap? I traded for an Analog Four and the acrylic screen is pretty cloudy. I emailed about an official replacement pane, but I am thinking about just getting a 1.5 x 3in acrylic pane with some double sided tape and swapping it in.
Hiya,
Yes they sent me a replacement which has adhesive surround on it.
I have a spare new MKII screen I think

Amazing, I’ll just wait to hear back then, hopefully they still have spare Mk1 screen protectors! How was the removal process, did it pop right out or was it a bit more involved?

You can use a hair dryer on a low setting or leave it out in the sun on a warm day, the adhesive on the bezel will loosen and can be removed without too much hassle.
I do recommend covering your actual device display with a paper or something while doing this because dust loves that bare screen more than you can imagine.

My replacement didn’t have one so I just stuck the new one on.
I remember it being a bit fiddly lining it up as there are no locator marks inside afaik
