Grey color has an utilitarian, military, no frills that’s really appealing. It’s a statement: this is a bombproof sound making tool.
I don’t know who does Elektron industrial design, but is a genius.
Grey and mk1 owner here. Tend to use the mk1 as I got it for a smashing deal and am less kids gloves with it. Less stress, you know? However, the crossfader resistance is much higher than the grey and less enjoyable. Also, the extra buttons on the grey do come in handy as do the “hi-res” encoders. This could all be said about the black mk2 but we’re not here for that.
ex-grey user here.
I recently went to the dark side.
sorry frenz
is that kenny everrett?
You need all 4 versions, the Classic MK1, The MK2 Sublime Grey, the MK2 Elite, and the MK2 Jet Black to enjoy the full spectrum of the Octatrack Eternity.
I would not mind a Snow White Edition for its 20th birthday.
