OT MK1 LFO Sample Start

Hi, I am looking to modulate sample start with an lfo on OT MK1. Looks like there is no sample start/slice destination for LFO. Could more experienced users confirm please. Would be much appreciated! Thanks

I have the MKII and there’s an option for sample Start/Slice destination for LFO, so for sure there’s something similar option in MKI

Start is the second destination (SCR STRT).

Same firmware.

Thanks guys, MK2 SRC button is called Playback on MK1. But that shouldn’t affect an LFO routing options, I guess. Moreso taking into account that it’s on the same firmware. I am on the latest 1.40c firmware but so far I could not apply lfo to SRC START it is just not on the menu. Frustrating, perhaps I need to change some project/machine settings…

On the face of it it doesn’t make sense that the option is not there. What machine type is on the track you are having the issue on?

Yeah, strange behaviour to say the least. I have tried it with Flex and Static machines. Average sample length loaded of about 2-3 seconds. LFO destinations I can chose from are PITCH, AMP, LFO 1 2 3 and FX 1 2.

When you see Pitch, do you see PMTR, PB, PTCH? STRT should be the second option in PMTR, PB as you scroll the options using encoder A (use Flex for the sake of troubleshooting)

Thanks, yes, I see PMTR, PB, PTCH. Once I go through all destinations in PB it goes right onto PMTR, AMP, ATK.

Wondering if performing factory reset would do any difference?

Does it show other options under PMTR/ PB as you scroll- Or only PTCH? If it is only the STRT option missing that’s really weird. Maybe try a brand new project and see if it still happens?

Yeah, it shows around 6 parameters under PB, like RATE and RTG and then about the same for AMP section. But no SRC STRT in between… now I appreciate it can be called something else since it’s an MK1 OT but still very weird. Creating a new project didn’t help.

Does SRC STRT come up on your MK1? I tend to think that there is something wrong with my unit if this option is available for everyone else but not me.

It wont say SRC anywhere ever at all on MK 1. It will say PB and the STRT option should be an option in the PB page. If you look at the Playback page you should see the Start parameter? Sorry to suggest the obvious but in the LFO page when selecting destinations have you tried scrolling the encoder counter-clockwise? And when scrolling the LFO destinations, what is the very next option after PTCH?

Oh my God, I am officially an idiot. For some reason, my brain decided to think that PB stands for pitch bend, maybe because the first option is Pitch on that menu. So all this time, I thought that PB STRT has something to do with the start of the pitch bend. While it actually is for playback start.
