OT MK II - where is Hector?

I`m sure almost everyone here in this forum remembers Hector from the original Octatrack video. It would be great if Elektron shoot a new, MK II episode

I was thinking treating myself to 2049 in the absence of Hector.

What is Hector’s story? I’m a total n00b to Elektron, only seen him in adverts for the MD and the MM… he seems pretty intense.

He’s also in the OT and A4 teaser trailers. He was kind of like the Elektron mascot for a while, seems to have disappeared since Cenk came on board as head demo guy. I’d pay to see a Hector vs Cenk thunderdome technobattle for the next trailer.

maybe it’ll happen next year for elektrons 20 year anniversary when they release the Analogtatrack mk.twelvtyā„¢

I’m fairly certain ā€œHectorā€ is just an actor, as (if I remember correctly) none of the close-ups have any indication that it’s him playing it, and he never touches the machine in the shots where you can see his face.

Yeah, come on now folks, he’s just a smooth talking salesman, unlike the Maestro, Cenk.

there’s this autocratic dystopic totalitarian feel of elektron during the earlier days (pre-cenk) that I just can’t unsee bc of hector - the speech, general appearance, clothing, voice, and mouth movements, etc.

I jam on the light side of the flex…
One day I may have to face Hector in the ultimate battle of groove over evil… :atom:

how cool would it be if Hector was doing the talking and Cenk was hiding under the desk operating the OT remotely

You’re both right. He’s just a hired gun to sell us things…

If you want to see Hector again you just say his name 3 times while looking at your OT in a reflection.

wait… apparently this is the guy…?

and he was also vocalist for death metal band Dark Heresy…?!

that’s him on the right!

the vocals do actually kinda sound Hector-ish.

let’s do a Dark Heresy remix compilation lol

Fantastic sleuthery my friend!
Well he certainly didn’t sound Polish.

that Dark Heresy album is legitimately awesome tbh!

maybe crowd-fund a spoken-word audio rendition of the Octatrack manual

Wait a second,
Can we just go back to Hector being Hector?
I don’t know if I can deal with him being an actor, and like, a real person or whatever…

Hilarious though, here’s some of his roles:
-Heavy metal fan
-Funeral guest
-Inmate
-Grave digger
-The Evil One
-Male Helldiver (voice)
