OT -> MatrixBrute midi note off

Im having a prob sequencing my MatrixBrute from my OT MkII.

I have not problem sequencing my Virus, but with the MatrixBrute it seems like its not sending the note-off message then after 10 or so notes it jams up and i have to send a midi-panic to unblock things.

Local control is off on the MB as the midi is send to the OT then one midi track is used to control the MB

Playing the MB (with midi echoing back via OT) works fine. Its just the OT step sequencer not sending what the MB expects for a note-off.

Would be nice to get this working, I have just spent last 24 hours rebuilding my studio around the OT as the centrepiece.

Any ideas?

The first thing to check is that the MIDI cable is working OK. Try another if you can.

Arturia does not seem to publish full MIDI specifications for its synths. It’s possible that Arturia has not implemented recognition of both types of MIDI messages for Note Off.

I think the midi cable is ok, because the note off messages are working from the MB keyboard via OT and back to MB with local off on the synth

OK so this is a bug the Arturia MatrixBrute.

With local ‘on’ on the MB there is no problem receiving midi sequenced notes with note-off message from OT.

I have reported this as a bug to Arturia
