I’m watching this Ricky Tinez video on live looping with the OT -
Fairly standard setup -
- Thru machine on T5 with input from modular
- Flex machine on T6
- T6 recorder buffer listening to T5
- Scene A turns T6 amp down to zero and Scene B turns T5 amp down to zero
So you can record a bar of modular, switch to the captured sample whilst you fiddle with the modular patch, then fade that new modular patch in.
I get this until about 7:18, when RT starts to talk about cueing.
I can see why you want to cue - see if the modular patch sounds decent before you fade it in. But I don’t understand why his OT patch works here. Because if he’s still on Scene B then T5 must be muted out with zero volume. And that’s the same whether on Main out or Cue out. At least that’s what I’m seeing - I can’t hear the modified modular patch in the Cue headphones, whilst the fader is at Scene B.
What am I missing here ? TIA
