I record into a pickupmachine but with every loop the recording records itself with a higher level ending up in distiortion after about the 3rd repeat. Where/how do I set the correct levels?
Have you tried to toy around with the GAIN parameter of the pickup machine?

My bet too.

Thank you. Gain was set to 11.90. was not aware of that setting. Only checked the mixer and pickup settings.

Is usefull for looping with decay with negative values, with positive values it’s dangerous!

Yes that’s what I also thought. I can also do a looping delay. With decay and stop recording when I am satisfied.
