I actually wore MAC in the 90s. Haha
No cheese here.
Still not sure what the best batch conversion option is for Mac users, but I recommend Ocenaudio (free) for manual file edits, trimming, normalising, conversions etc. There’s no batch stuff currently, but it gets a lot of updates and it’s nice to use:

I had a huge number of files to convert and after getting fed up with Audacity and a trial of WaveLab Elements (frustrating!) I did most of what I needed to do with a free trial of Twisted Wave, which has excellent batch options. I found it to be rock solid, but it’s not cheap:

For the iPad interested, there’s a new audio editor app called Auditor, which does batch conversion. It’s early days but the developer has a good rep, having made the LayR synth:

And yes, Octachainer is great!
Can’t wait for OctaEdit V2 to drop, though.
Sounds like a man in need of some good old extra mature Cheddar
Same here, still it will be worth the wait
OctaEdit v2 has a new Chainer module; with some new features and functionality.
I have also developed a standalone Chainer application.
Both of them are cross compatible with each other as well as other programs like MDEdit for example.
Basically I’ve created a cross-application, cross platform file format.

Hey guys, is a 64gig SSD card the max you can put in the OT?
Compact Flash Card. 64 GB max yes.
Also worth considering do you need such a large card, or would you be better off with a few smaller cards? It depends of course, but generally 8gb is often plenty since the internal memory is just over 80mb, and you might find file management easier with multiple cards, rather than one card with a bazillion files on it, unless you like lots of scrolling of course
Smart!
so with octachain do I want to use evenly spaced with 16 sounds, drop them into the slicer and then just select 16 slices and then what? haha
What? There’s a manual for OT?!
In OctaChainer you have to use the Octatrack slices tab and select the bitrate of the samples, if they´re mono or stereo and the samplerate. If they´re loops or stems you can select the BPM as well.
Then you only have to pick that chain on the OT activate the slices on the track and done.
Hey guys, so I wanted to clear out samples from projects that we in my sample pool and get a head of organizing while I only have a few projects on here. I collected the samples from each project, and I see them in the project, and play them in the sample editor but not on the track. nothing is playing bac. any thoughts here? they are all loaded, I can here them if I preview them in source and in the editor, nothing is muted, volumes are on on. thoughts?
