OT first day questions

hey,

1 It seems that flex machines on all tracks share the same sample…
I want different samples

2 cant make the midi seq send notes to my voyager…
however, it sends sync to a dark time just fine.

thanks in advance

1 - I’m guessing you have all the tracks pointing to the same flex slot?
2 - I’m not familiar with those synths or your setup, so I’m not how much help I can be there. Double check your channel settings. Does the voyager have settings that could prevent it from receiving data?

  1. This confused me too: the flex and static machines (where you will load samples) are global. Think of each as a kit you build for that project. Just keep loading samples in the slots:

Double tap a track

Use the arrow keys-left will take you to assigning a machine to the track, right to the folders on your CF card containing samples- and the enter/yes/no buttons to navigate the menus.

You can change the sample on a track at any time by double tapping it and selecting any of the samples you loaded into either the flex or static machines- depending on which you assigned to the track.

Hit the MIDI button to enter MIDI mode.

Select the track you want to sequence the Voyager with.

Double tap the “Playback” button to enter the channel and program settings page.

Set the MIDI channel to whatever the Voyager is set at.

Set the OT to send MIDI CCs and Note Data

great!

copy paste audio tracks on the OT ?!

Is it possible?

Yep. Pretty sure the MIDI channel is not set. You have to confirm the change by hitting the OK button.

copying tracks! .)

TRACK + REC will copy
TRACK + STOP will paste.

Have you read the manual?

yes, i meant i figured it out!

can the use of pickup machines be fully automated?

can i send cc to record buttons from seq?

i want try out stuff from internal tracks In Sync !

thanks

haha, so many questions. very helpfull answers so far.
There are so many ways to explore the ot.
One advice I read quite often: keep it simple at the beginning. try out one thing at a time.

But yeah, some things are very essential: set your midi channels, set your slot list. fill your tracks with machines and sample-slots.
and then - tatata - the fun begins.
it’s so much fun to go crazy with the ot.

I wich I were a first-time starter with the ot again.
babababa
any keyand any knob is there to be played with.

Manual was and still is my best friend.

just posted this in another thread. might come in handy here too. it’s like a supplementary (shorter) manual. helped me get my head around some of the work flow of the OT. it’s the link marked named ‘‘ot thoughts’’
hope it helps :+1:
