Was pleased to see you can navigate between LFOs using the arrow keys now.
Hi @ThomasJ, great video!
And thank you for featuring the MPE trick.
I didn’t know, you can play Elektron Machines polyphonically via MPE.
So I just picked my iPad and the free Animoog Z App, which allows MPE as an Output Midi-Channel. Boom, now I have a polyphonic Elektron synth, without even using my RK-002 Cable. (Tested it on my DT II, since I don’t have a Syntakt.)
BTW, great update for ST owners!
Well, every track can just playback one note. So if I use track layering and hold more than one note on the keyboard, it will only playback one note. Unless there’s a clear function that splits the notes I press to different tracks.
Bit surprised to see they did not port the “kits” system from DT2…
This machine is a beast ![]()
For sure
For sure. Hope people record audio of their songs, back things up, take notes, come up with smart labelling systems, etc.
But it’s still better than zero samples!
IC, yes so it is a trigger function, not a put triggers to connected sequencer lanes. (Where one could make adjustments later).
Ok, do dub chords only ![]()
Perhaps they reintroduce snapshots MDII+ style. (And while we are at it - kits or at least copy/paste all 8 + FX track settings at once ![]()
I really like the addition of not a:b and not last trig conditions. Thank you Elektron.
No need for these: they are the ancestors for nowadays “Project”.
Kits, yes ![]()
if possible reusable across patterns like in A4/AR but defaulted to the DNII/DTII simple one by pattern
Thank you! Delighted you’re doing this
I’m getting the same error too…
Doing a retry on the ones that failed has worked for some of them, but still mostly failing. Not sure why this is happening. And I don’t think it’s a hard drive space issue because it’s just my first time loading these factory samples into Syntakt ![]()
I have one question about the Transfer and samples on Syntakt. Yesterday i updated and transfered all the “included” samples on my work laptop.
Later i found my own samples on my Mac and tried to transfer. I had to delete all samples to transfer the new ones.
Is that how it must be done? Delete everything, then transfer? Or are you supposed to see what is on the Syntakt so you can change some samples without changing everything?
Thanks ![]()
I’ve just had my first play with this update, and I’m kind of blown away.
My initial plan was to exclusively upload the classic drum machine hits. I’ve never played with a dual sample playback machine before, and I’m amazed at how beautifully weird and melodically pleasing it can be to play. Gonna have to hold back on ma cowbells.
The blend is so nice, I’ve found so many cool sounds FM’ing the blend. I’m going to mess around today with using one shot lfo’s as envelopes to use the blend to have different parts of the same play at different times.
I would also like this clarifying??
So each project has its own samples? That would be great! ![]()
