yeah i wish the selected trig mode was somehow reflected in the keyboard popup during step recording. it’s also problematic that you can’t see what page you are on when in slice trig mode, since the page LEDs get highjacked by slice selection

What makes that kind of decision hard is that the MPC kind of does everything - it’s a DAW, with great plugins and synths, with good hardware controls. It’s a great all in one device that is basically unrivalled.

What the Digitakt brings to the table is that it’s opinionated. It’s the way it does stuff - it does much less, but it does it in a way that makes it fun to use.

I love what I can do on an MPC, but I used to have a lot of fun making music on my Digitakt.

Digitakt is a way of life.

I’m looking forward to the cheap used Octatracks that are about to flood the market! I’m probably wrong, but I in my head some people got OTs just because of slicing.
