ok yea… just found a really simple way to illustrate how legato tied notes are bugged on this device.
- start with an empty pattern using a synth patch with legato on.
- place a note on the first step
- place a note, one octave up from the first, on the second step
- hold the first step down and tap the second step to extend the first note into the second step
when you play this pattern back, you’ll hear the first note, then the second (with no amp envelope retrigger because legato) and then you’ll hear the first note AGAIN.
To be clear, the expectation when tying a note like this would be that the first note plays and then the second note. It seems as though the sequencer is holding the first note until the very beginning of the third step, while the note on the second step is being held for the gate length specified on the bar page, which defaults to 50 but even when i set it to 100, i still hear the first note come back and play afterwards.
So yea… this kinda sucks, especially if you want to create acid lines with slides with any kind of precision
