OP-1 field

That’s exactly what they did and they overhauled the midi side as well. As I understand it it was quiet the undertaking and that’s why they probably were very reluctant to do it at first.

would be choice!

I would love a behind the scenes video/interview on this project!

Yeah, tbh the MIDI stuff is what got me most excited for this release. That’s HUGE. The way it worked previously was terrible and this makes it so much better.

I quickly threw together a little testing setup to determine if the outbox8 would be a nice addition to the OP-1f (provided Elektron manages to get multi track streaming via USB to work with it).

Here, the left channel of the OP-1f goes into lossy, the right one to lost+found. The left channel of the OP-XY goes to clean and the right one to ribbons (OP-XY is used here to “simulate” the remaining two tape tracks). All mono in, stereo out, just to test it. All the pedals then go into the TX-6 for mixing and monitoring (and recording to bitwig).
TLDR, it’s a blast. My guitar is plugged into the OP-1f and I can quickly switch between lossy and lost+found, record clean guitar to the tape and effect it afterwards, and so on. Doing this with 4 tape tracks and 4 pedals would be a dream and I do really hope Elektron can make some magic happen with the outbox8. I’m hooked and I’ll be so bummed, if it doesn’t work out :smiling_face_with_tear:

This also made me realize I’m essentially sitting on 4 really flexible multi FX pedals that really shine when used separately and kinda get a bit watered down when used in a chain.
