OP-1 field

" * tape screen: show loop BPM when holding shift (free mode only)"

This is huge! Now you can start of playing whatever you want and adjust the song bpm accordingly. Tried it with some drum breaks as well and it worked great for that as well.

Great update, well, something is telling me that in about 15 years when 2.0 is released we’ll get a Quantize func…

Works well! Now the only thing left I perosnally want is to be able to solo route internal sounds through external fx and record them back to tape.

This is WAY more useful than the undo function. Undo is for wusses. Commit and live with it. That was the OP-1 way…

May your fingers never slip and you accidentally paste instead of cut, because you’re forbidden by the non-wusses covenant to use undo!

15 years to implement Undo :joy: I’m actually tempted to re-buy an OP-1 F with the last few updates

Not sure if you’re serious here but many ppl said something along the line over the years like it’s a religion and imo it’s a pathetic and sad way to exercise and demonstrate the will and power of commitment in our lives.
Raise a healthy child instead pls

im curious if the undo is like the undo on the op-xy where you lose the ability to undo if you do anything other than press play

Whoever is against undo has to be trolling. It was not high on my wishlist compared to other things and I can totally understand a neutral stance. But i don’t get how it detracts at all. Just don’t use it lol

Happy they’ve added an undo function, wish it always did along with an additional usb slot. Haven’t updated yet but looking forward to future updates with the field and especially the xy.

Is it now possible to run its internal synth from an external midi sequencer with parameter lock?

Hurraaaaaayyyy!!! UNDO!!! What a week… Coolest thing after sliced bread invention… Let’s work now!

Did it just yesterday - re-bought it. Now I’m HAPPY!!!

One of wusses here. Don’t care at all. UNDO all the way. Dub-daba-daba-doob )))

Two levels of undo coming in 2041!

Why?! It already has 7 (seven) levels of UNDO/REDO.

WTF! now I really need to re-buy it

But be quick because (from my observation) all used OP-1 Field units for sale online which were less than $1,400 almost all gone (maybe because of the UNDO/REDO option updated) ))

I’m still baffled at how they were able to get this to work, especially since overdubs on the same tape track can easily be removed and added back in on the same track with undo and redo. Are these recorded into a separate buffer and it only looks like it was overdubbed onto the same tape track? Does the OP-1f hold 7 completely different tape states in its RAM? I’ve got no clue how they did it, but it seems like they had to completely overhaul how the tape functions.
The OP-1f is already an instrument I’d never sell, but there’s just a few little things left that would make it perfect for me:

  • noise gate on the amp engine
  • tuner at the beginning of the signal chain on the amp engine
  • velocity mod implementation as on the OP-XY, to free up the lfo slot
  • sequencer save slots
  • customizable initial settings for FX (or FX presets)
  • multi-sampler as on the OP-XY
  • drum sampler as on the OP-XY
