Online jamming

Hi,
I’m very new to making music. So I’m still learning, but already would like to experiment with playing together.
I have Jamulus on my Raspberry Pi server, so I could host a small online live session. Anyone interested?
I chose Jamulus, because I’m on Fedora Blufin and there’s a Flatpak for it. Also it was really easy to set it up.

Gear I have and may use:
Teenage Engineering PO 32 Tonic, PO 14 Sub
Elektron Model:Cycles
Korg NTS 1
Roland J5

Can mix all that together with a Zoom Podtrak P4.

It’s a cool idea and not something I’ve ever managed to do ‘synchronously’.

Hopefully someone is able to take you up on your offer, but if not do make sure to check out the Mission Briefs section of this forum as that can be a good way to ‘work alone together’ - not the same as jamming but it can be a good way to make music socially and level up your game.

There is software that can give clock over the internet. Can’t remember what it’s called but should be easy to look up.

Mission Briefs is a good suggestion! I didn’t think of it as a form of “jamming alone”

Yes, that’s true. I think NINJAM does this.
I guess you could try a Pocket Operator sync-track, using one of your stereo channels, just as the PO’s do.

If you agree one person delivers the beat and the other some soundwaves (don’t know how to translate it correctly), you wouldn’t need a clock…

It’s still important to share the clock for time based effects like delays.

Did you manage to jam with somebody? I’ve been wanting to jam online for a couple of years now but don’t have a buddy to jam with on my modular case. I’d be interested in giving it a try. In the end, which software is better for synth jamming? I’ve read that Ninjam is a good option, Jamulus and Jam Kazam as well.

I recently read about how Speedy J set up Stay at Home system pretty detailed. At least with which software.

Nope. Didn’t search very much, because I have not much spare time lately.
I did set up a jamulus-server and I’m still wanting to try it!

I’m a real real beginner with no musical background, so beware
