I have a static machine on tracl 5. In grid mode i have a trig on first trig. In paytern setting per track is on and t5 star silent no, playing free with one shot trk checkedwith trig mode one. When i press play i cant hear anything and the orange led doesnt show.
I am not sure what i am not understanding i had hoped the trig would start the machine playing, triggering once and leaving the long sample playing for its length then stopping.
Ive looked at the manual and found about o e shot trigs but not enough to work out whats going on.
I just tried function + trig and that didnt work either as described page 142
By playing free, you mean your tracks is set to PLAYS FREE ?
In that case, to play that track, you have to press Track Trig 5, in play mode, and arm the One Shot Trig.
If you just want to play a sample, uncheck PLAYS FREE, arm the track with Enter, or FN + Enter to arm all tracks.
You can also play all the trigs of a Track once, with ONE SHOT TRACK option, if PLAYS FREE is checked.
first i was getting the menu option free and one shot mixed up, then discovered the green trig and then finally the right orange trig. so it was only that menu one shot was not a requirement of arming a one shot trig. user stupidity we can put that down too.
