So, I’m curious as to how you guys are pushing the quality of the OT when it comes to time-based FX. Any advice (audio examples automatically receive golden stars) appreciated! ![]()
Really cool - lots of things for me to check there, thanks!
Interesting and unexpected results !
Inspiring.
Time based ?
Time based fx spoiling…
Not my first one, I think best time based fx results come with recorders / flex…cue resampling.
APXT2 guitar straight in, no samples, just OT sampling/fx processing.
It sounds great!
I mean, this level of processing is just insane, you’re extremely talented, my friend!
I don’t even have a clue where to start to try some of this stuff out! ![]()
Since 10 years I am doing my best to prove OT fx aren’t that bad with some trickery! ![]()
The main thing is to use recorders with several rec trigs recording CUE, use FLEX to play chunks delayed so that you can pitch/reverse, and send back to CUE with feedback! ![]()
I hope I will be able to make a decent tutorial one day !
I already used that principle 6 years ago, but I developed it with feedback. Just using Octatrack raison d’être! Rec trigs and Flex.
Talking about original OT time based fx, I think it is an interesting way…
I’ll add I think best time based OT FX can be made with the sequencer, Amp and Filter envelopes are super efficient as a starter. Lfos with Hold mode so that changes are triggered by trigs…
Quite simple to test with a Thru machine for incoming signal.
If you want to use pitch / reverse / feedback : Rec/Flex !
wow this is nuts.
i’d love to learn more about the settings involved here if you feel like divulging.
Quite a few ! I already gave some clues in different threads but to be understandable I need to make a video, probably faster than writing it ! And some details are important.
After northern hemisphere summer !
